For human to change and form a habit, it required at least 21 days. This is the habits of highly successful people, that allow them to consistently perform behaviors that breed success. Everything from eating well to responsible spending to task completion and beyond requires habits that make such behaviors part of our daily life.
Michael Jordan spent his off seasons taking hundreds of jump shots a day. William Churchill spent a few hours everyday to improve his speech. Christiano Ronaldo trained hours to perfect his kick. They work hard to achieve what they’re earning now.
We shared you previously, 5 Reason You should Join 21 Days Challenge. And now we share another 5 reason.
1. Acquire New Skills
You’re going to learn new skills in a weight-loss challenge. You’ll get tips on eating healthy, new ideas for workouts, you’ll probably take some classes you hadn’t looked at before. You’ll get a variety of new tools for the tool box, so that when the challenge is over, you can keep building, keep the momentum going, instead of stalling out when your routine starts to feels stale and uninspiring.
2. It’s Fun
Being involved in a weight-loss challenge is fun! There’s a sense of excitement as you and your fellow competitors embark on this journey! You’ll build camaraderie with people and form new relationships. There’s something about being in the trenches together that can bring out the humor in all kinds of situations. Join in, relax, and enjoy the company!
3. Lift Up
All those friends you’ll find in the trenches will lift you up. They’ll encourage you when you think it’s just too hard, you don’t have time, you’re too tired, etc. Those people will be your biggest cheerleaders and you’ll be theirs. There’s nothing like being fully supported to help a person succeed.
You’ll be healthier! And really, isn’t that what this is all about? With health comes a sense of well being and lessening of stress. Think of that morning run as a chase after your healthier self and pick up the pace!
When it’s all over, you’ll have such a feeling of accomplishment. You did it! You stayed the course, worked harder than you thought you could, lost weight and took a big step toward a healthier future. What could be better than that?!
